Beyond the scores

This electronic signature software comparison sets review scores beside what the vendors' pages list on e-signature, security reports and plan prices, read between September and October 2026.

What the vendors' pages list about e-signature and its plan limits

The e-signature facts below come from the vendors' own pages. DocuSign describes itself as an eSignature tool, and its Personal plan allows 5 envelopes per month. PandaDoc lists e-signature requests sent by email, link or SMS. Proposify lists legally binding e-signatures, and GetAccept lists unlimited e-signatures on its eSign plan. Trumpet lists e-signature from its Scale plan upward, and Flowla lists it as built in. These facts were read between Sep 28 and Oct 5, 2026.

They describe what these vendors say they offer. Proposify's Build plan, priced per user, lists unlimited documents and signatures, read on Oct 25, 2026.

Security reports and hosting named on the vendors' pages

The security facts differ by vendor. DocuSign lists SOC 2 Type 2, PandaDoc lists SOC 2 Type II, and Qwilr lists SOC 2 Type 2. Storydoc lists hosting within the EU, and this page reads no SOC 2 report for Storydoc. PandaDoc lets you choose between US and EU hosting, and Flowla lists AWS in Europe. These facts were read between Sep 28 and Sep 29, 2026.

Single sign-on depends on the plan: DocuSign lists it on its Enhanced plans, Qwilr on all plans, PandaDoc on its Enterprise plan and Trumpet on its Elite plan, read between Sep 29 and Oct 12, 2026. None of these facts is a HIPAA or BAA term, and this page does not rate electronic signature software for healthcare.

Plan prices and limits read on the vendors' pricing pages

DocuSign's Personal plan is $15 a month billed monthly, or $10 a month billed annually. PandaDoc's Starter plan is $35 per seat a month billed monthly, or $19 per seat a month billed annually. Salesforce prices Pro Suite at $100 per user a month, billed annually, and Proposify prices Grow at $65 per user a month, billed annually. These prices were read between Sep 29 and Oct 25, 2026.

Dock, Flowla, PandaDoc, Salesforce and Trumpet list free plans. On free electronic signature software, PandaDoc describes its Free plan as for small businesses that need professional eSign, with 5 documents per month, and Trumpet's Free plan lists Scale plan features with a 10-Pod limit. The free plans were read between Sep 28 and Oct 6, 2026.

Questions

Before you choose

This page does not explain why a vendor would sign a BAA, and it reads no BAA term from any vendor. What it does read on security is SOC 2 reports and hosting, in the second section above.

No BAA term is among the facts read for this ranking, so this page names no platform that will sign one. The e-signature facts it does read are in the first section above, and the security facts in the second.

This page checks no HIPAA status, so it names no lowest-priced HIPAA compliant option. The plan prices it reads are in the third section above.

This page reads no rule on what an audit trail must record for a document containing PHI. Among the pages read, Qwilr lists e-signatures stored with an audit trail, read on Sep 29, 2026.

This page reads no retention period for signed documents and no rule on how long a document containing PHI must be kept. Its facts cover e-signature, security and plan prices, in the three sections above.
