List hygiene: bounce rates above 5% trigger ISP throttling

- Authentication: confirm SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on every sending domain
Use Mail-Tester or MXToolbox to verify all three records resolve correctly. Check each sending domain separately, not just the primary business domain.
- Warmup: confirm the inbox has been active for at least 2 to 3 weeks
If your platform bundles warmup, confirm it was active before you loaded contacts into a campaign. If warmup was off during setup, extend the window before sending.
- Volume: confirm per-inbox send caps are set and respected
Start at 30 to 50 emails per inbox per day for the first two weeks. Set the cap at inbox level, not just campaign level. Distributing 500 sends across 10 uncapped inboxes still creates spike risk.
- List: confirm the contact list has been verified before upload
